Chandra Ivey, M.D., F.A.C.S.


Dr. Ivey has established herself as a laryngologist in private practice since 2007. She specializes in the dysphonic patient and performs in-office evaluation, biopsy, and treatment when possible. She has expertise in laryngeal EMG, laryngeal BOTOX, in-office injection laryngoplasty, in-office laser treatment for benign lesions, FESST, trans-nasal esophagoscopy, and a variety of laryngeal reconstructive procedures. She is currently leading investigation of sensory testing in the larynx and its role in safe diet recommendation. Dr. Ivey currently has no external funding sources at this time and dedicates the majority of her time to clinical practice.


Dr. Ivey completed medical school at Weill-Cornell Medical College and matriculated to Otolaryngology residency at the University of Cincinnati, in Cincinnati OH. She then entered Laryngology fellowship with Dr. Peak Woo at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Ivey is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. She is a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.


Chandra M. Ivey, MD, FACS was director of the Division of Laryngology, Voice and Swallowing in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Columbia University. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology. She has had clinical appointments at Mount Sinai, Columbia University Medical center, Beth Israel, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary since completing her training. She currently is clinical faculty at the Department of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
